Chikako Yamauchi, PhD, serves as the Strategic Learning and Evaluation Officer at The Kresge Foundation, where responsibilities include co-leading the evolution of strategic learning and evaluation practices, promoting a culture of learning, and supporting program teams through strategy refinement with a focus on anti-racism and equity. Previously, Chikako held the position of Senior Manager of Evaluation, Research, and Strategic Learning at Community Partners, overseeing a multi-sector learning consortium and consulting with nonprofit leaders on program design and evaluation. Additional experience includes roles as an Independent Researcher and Evaluation Consultant, Research and Evaluation Manager at EmcArts, and various teaching and project management positions throughout a robust career in academia and community engagement. Chikako holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Canterbury, an MA in Pacific Islands Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a BA in Japanese Language and Literature from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
