Jillian Godshall is a Remote Instructor at The Last Mile, specializing in teaching and developing curriculum for incarcerated students in the Audio & Video Production program. With a diverse background in media education and production, Jillian has previously worked as a Researcher and Curriculum Specialist at Venice Arts, where research focused on film industry apprenticeships for youth in Los Angeles. Jillian's experience includes aligning digital media curricula with apprenticeship standards at The Alliance for Media Arts + Culture and reviewing projects for the Sundance Institute. Additionally, Jillian has served as a Youth Media Instructor and Baton Rouge Programs Manager at New Orleans Video Access Center, leading various documentary projects and community workshops. Further contributions to documentary storytelling include roles as a Story Producer for Rational Middle Media and Reinventing New Orleans Schools, and co-directing the award-winning short documentary "The Day They Took My Father." Jillian holds a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from the University of St. Thomas and has studied at Universidad Catolica de Argentina.
