Shawn Dobbs

Shawn Dobbs is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in marketing, public relations, and talent acquisition, currently serving as the Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. since May 2012. Shawn has successfully overseen the grand opening of a facility in Summerville, SC, and is responsible for building relationships with individual and institutional donors for charitable contributions. Prior to this role, Shawn held positions at Bosma Enterprises as an Adjustment Counselor and Vocational Readiness Instructor, as well as serving as Program Director for the Church Federation of Greater Indianapolis, where grant writing and staff management were key responsibilities. Earlier experience includes working as a Psychiatric Social Service Specialist at the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Shawn holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from Indiana University Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Evansville.
