Darrell Flewell

Darrell Flewell has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Darrell most recently worked at The Linux Foundation from 2016 to the present as the Director of Corporate Solutions and previously served as the Channel Operations Manager. In these roles, they focused on managing and developing relationships with the Linux Foundation's channel partners and played a crucial role in expanding the Linux and Open Source talent pool.

Before joining The Linux Foundation, Darrell held positions at Linux Professional Institute (LPI) from 2005 to 2015. Darrell served as the CFO, responsible for managing financial risks, implementing strategic objectives, and maintaining financial records and reporting. Darrell also held the role of Finance Director, where they conducted an internal review of financial controls and risk assessment and implemented a financial management system.

Prior to LPI, Darrell worked at Unity Wealth as a Partner and Corporate Finance Advisor from 2005 to 2009. Darrell also gained experience at Chemcraft International as a Controller and Operations Manager from 2001 to 2005, and at Kraft Foods and Sony Music Entertainment as a Senior Financial Analyst from 1997 to 2001.

Overall, Darrell has a strong background in finance and operations management, with a focus on financial analysis, strategic planning, and relationship management.

Darrell Flewell obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Economics from Western University, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. In June 1998, they became a Certified Management Accountant through the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario. Darrell later acquired the certifications of "Crypto in Sports Essentials" from Front Office Sports in August 2022 and "Metaverse Essentials: Building the Future" from the same institution in February 2023.
