Dr. Amanda Martin has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Dr. Amanda currently serves as the Director of Program Management at The Linux Foundation, where they started in March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Developer Advocate at Gradle. In 2021, they held the position of Developer Relations Engineer at Deephaven Data Labs, a data analytics platform provider. From 2020 to 2022, Dr. Martin worked as an Adjunct Professor at CCCOnline. Dr. Amanda also served as the CTE Director at High Country Consortium from 2018 to 2021. Before that, they were a CTE Director / STEM Instructor at Eagle County School District from 2012 to 2021. Additionally, Dr. Martin worked as an Adjunct Professor at Colorado Mountain College from 2010 to 2021 and as the President of STEM, Arts, and IT at Colroado ACTE from 2017 to 2020. Dr. Amanda gained industry experience as a Senior Software Development Engineer at the University of Wyoming in 2018 and as a Senior Software Engineer at ORAU in the same year.

Dr. Martin obtained their Doctorate degree in Computer Science from Aspen University, graduating in 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics at Penn State University from 2005 to 2009. Dr. Amanda also holds a Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from the University of Colorado Denver, which they earned in 2016.

Continuing their education, Dr. Martin pursued a program in Organizational Leadership at Adams State University from 2010 to 2016. Furthermore, they obtained a Master's Degree in Science Teaching from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology between 2011 and 2014.

Dr. Martin began their educational journey with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Astrophysics from the University of Arizona, which they completed from 2002 to 2005. Before that, they attended Central Arizona College from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Physics and Chemistry. Additionally, they studied Mathematics at The University of British Columbia from 2000 to 2011, and pursued a course on US Government at Stanford University in 2001-2002.

Completing their high school education, Dr. Martin earned their Diploma from Coolidge High School in 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Martin has also obtained several certifications related to various topics in software development, data analysis, and agile methodologies. These certifications were acquired through LinkedIn, with the most recent certifications obtained in March 2021 and November 2020.
