Luis Vivero Peña

Luis Vivero Peña is currently working as a Senior Instructor at The Linux Foundation, where they are responsible for teaching courses on Linux system administration, networking, DevOps, and containers. Luis has also provided support services for the Essentials of Linux System Administration course. In addition to their work at The Linux Foundation, Luis is an entrepreneur and founder of Club de Lectura Infantil Preguntines, an organization that promotes reading among children through entertaining activities. Luis is also a writer of children's literature and stories for adults, and has worked as a Writer for Amiraventuras. Additionally, Luis has experience in the renewable energy sector, having founded two companies, Hogar Verde and Tecnologías Renovables. Luis has also worked as an Engineer and Project Manager at InnovaSolar, specializing in solar energy and telecommunications projects. Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Luis worked at Oracle as a Senior Support Engineer, where they provided assistance and mentoring for various teams and supported Oracle's identity management solutions. Finally, Luis has served as a Member of the Municipal Council for the Book and Reading and as a Book and Reading Promoter for the Municipality of San Miguel in Lima, Peru.

Luis Vivero Peña has a diverse education history. From 1992 to 1998, they attended Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria, but the specific degree and field of study are unknown. In 2010, they earned the ITIL Foundation v3 Certification from IT-Institute, specializing in ITIL.

In addition to their formal education, Luis has obtained several certifications. In June 2019, they received the LFS301: Linux for System Administrators certification from The Linux Foundation. In July 2013, they obtained the ER100: Introducción a las Energías Renovables certification from Solar Energy International. Luis also holds a certification in ITIL Foundation v3 from EXIN - Examination Institute for Information Science, although the exact date of acquisition is unknown.
