Michal Lehotsky

Michal Lehotsky has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Michal currently holds the position of Director of Engineering, Products at The Linux Foundation, which they assumed in November 2022. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Principal Software Engineer / Architect also at The Linux Foundation.

Before joining The Linux Foundation, Michal worked at CA Technologies from 2011 to 2018. Michal held multiple roles during their tenure, starting as an Associate Software Engineer from July 2011 to November 2013. In this role, they provided level 2 customer support, troubleshooting and fixing bugs in the code, and addressing customer issues over the phone. Michal utilized various technologies including Java, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, Linux, Hibernate, C++, HTML, CSS, Spring Framework, Python, JavaScript, JSP, Perforce, Mercurial, and RTC. Following this, from December 2013 to June 2016, they served as a Software Engineer. Finally, from July 2016 to November 2018, Michal was promoted to the position of Senior Software Engineer at CA Technologies.

Michal's earlier work experience includes brief stints as a Web Site Update and Maintenance professional at Ayala Realty & Investments, Inc. and International Safe Co. in 2011. Furthermore, they held the role of a Web Design Assistant at Novitech from 1999 to 2000.

Michal Lehotsky obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from San Francisco State University in 2010. Prior to that, they earned another Bachelor's degree in Information and Security Systems from the University of Zilina between 1995 and 2000. In addition, Lehotsky attended Skyline College from 2005 to 2007, where they completed an Associate of Science degree in Network Engineering, Web Development, and Linux/Unix. Michal further pursued an Associate of Science degree in Web Development from Skyline College between 2006 and 2008. Lastly, in 2007 and 2008, Lehotsky acquired a Skill Certificate in Linux/Unix from Skyline College.
