Larry MacKe Ms, Els

Larry Macke, MS, ELS has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Larry is currently working at Lockwood as a Scientific Director since 2022, having previously held the position of Senior Associate Scientific Director from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Medical Writer at Peloton Advantage from 2017 to 2019, a Medical Writer at inVentiv Health Clinical from 2016 to 2017, and a Research Communications Project Manager at Florida Atlantic University Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute from 2009 to 2016. Larry also served as a Public Information Officer at INDIAN RIVER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT in 2009 and as a Writer at GS Design from 2006 to 2009. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Account Supervisor at Prescott Medical Communications Group from 2002 to 2009, an Account Manager at Weber Shandwick from 1999 to 2002, a Writer at VSA Partners from 1997 to 1999, and a Senior Account Executive at Bozell Sawyer Miller Group from 1991 to 1997. Larry's expertise lies in scientific communication, medical writing, research communications, and account management.

Larry Macke, MS, ELS has a diverse education history. Larry began their academic journey by completing the Grantsmanship Training Program at The Grantsmanship Center. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organizational Leadership & Quality from Marian University of Fond du Lac. Prior to their master's degree, Larry earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Larry's education journey started in Lyons Township High School.

In addition to their formal education, Larry has obtained certifications to enhance their skills and expertise. Larry is a Microsoft Office Specialist: Expert, certified in Microsoft 365 Apps and Office 2019, granted by Microsoft in February 2021. Furthermore, they hold the Editor in the Life Sciences certification, awarded by the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (BELS) in October 2014.
