Maria Floud has a strong background in recruitment and talent acquisition. Maria is currently an Advisory Board Member at The Firm, a leading membership organization for in-house recruiters. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Talent Acquisition at the London Early Years Foundation (LEYF), the UK's largest childcare charity. Maria also worked as the Director of Recruitment & Marketing at Now Teach, where they played a key role in addressing the teacher shortage crisis in the UK. Maria has extensive experience in the public sector as well, having served as the Head of Recruitment at Police Now. In addition, Maria has experience in coaching and business consulting through their role as the Managing Director of Maria Floud Limited. Earlier in their career, they held senior recruitment positions at Grant Thornton UK LLP, Deutsche Bank, Ernst & Young, and Arthur Andersen & Co. Throughout their career, Maria has been involved in various talent projects, team development, campus engagement, and recruitment strategy.
Maria Floud attended Angmering School from 1988 to 1993. Following this, they studied at Worthing Sixth Form College from 1993 to 1995, where they pursued A levels in Psychology, Sociology, and Business Studies. Maria then went on to Aston University from 1996 to 2000, where they pursued a degree in Psychology & Management.
