Shivangi Chourasia is a PhD Scholar at The MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology, focusing on reconfigurable stimuli-responsive nanomaterials as part of the Towards Zero Waste initiative. Concurrently, Shivangi is a PhD student at Massey University, engaged in analyzing and characterizing soft nanomaterials for multipurpose applications under the mentorship of Dr. Catherine Whitby. Previous experiences include serving as a demonstrator for first-year chemistry courses at Massey University, where interactive learning experiences were created to showcase the significance of physical chemistry and chemistry in biological systems. Shivangi's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER), Bhopal, where a master thesis on biopolymer-based composite hydrogels and a winter internship on bacterial population modeling were completed. Additional research experience includes a summer internship at the Centre of Biomedical Research in Lucknow, focusing on natural anthraquinone extraction and enzyme purification.
