Ana de Sousa

Ana De Sousa is a dedicated laboratory technician at The Center for Aquaculture Technologies (CAT) since August 2022, with extensive experience in customer service and aquatic environment management. Ana has served in visitor services at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk since November 2017, effectively cultivating positive customer interactions and managing memberships. Previous roles include a husbandry intern, where Ana monitored animal conditions and aquatic environments, and a server at The Stand Vegan Café, focusing on food preparation and safety compliance. Ana has also contributed as a laboratory assistant at Southern Connecticut State University, researching water quality, and as an informal educator at Birch Aquarium at Scripps. With a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Systems and Sustainability and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts, Ana combines educational background with hands-on experience in marine and environmental sciences.
