Samra Qasim

Samra Qasim has a diverse work experience starting with their role as an Assistant Designer at the Chicago Architecture Biennial. Samra then worked as an Architectural Intern at Studio ARQ, where they focused on schematic designing, architectural drafting, and preparing permit sets. Samra then joined Agency EA as an Associate Spatial & Experience Designer before being promoted to Senior Spatial & Experience Designer. In these roles, they were responsible for designing guest flows, space layouts, custom design elements, and stage design. Samra also collaborated with graphic designers to establish brand identities and worked with creative strategists on furniture and decor options. Samra later became a Senior Spatial Designer at Agency EA, where they acted as a project lead and mentor to other designers. Their most recent role is as an Associate Creative Director at The Marketing Arm.

Samra Qasim has a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois Chicago, where they studied from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended the American University of Sharjah from 2012 to 2014, also earning a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. In terms of certifications, Samra obtained a LEED Green Associate certification from the USGBC - National Capital Region Chapter in January 2017. Most recently, in June 2022, they completed a course on "intro to UX design" offered by CareerFoundry.
