Jared Payton has had extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Jared started their career at Bath Iron Works as a Claims Adjuster in 2000. In 1996, they joined MEMIC where they held various roles over the years. Jared began as a Compensation Specialist and worked in this position until 2002. From 2002 to 2007, they served as a Claims Unit Manager, overseeing the management of claims. After that, they took on the role of Director of Ancillary Services from 2007 to 2010. Jared then became the Director of Claim Operations from 2010 to 2012, followed by the position of National Director of Ancillary Operations from 2012 to 2014. Jared continued to advance within the company and became a Claim Service Manager in 2015. Jared'smost recent role at MEMIC was as the Claim Services Director, where they were responsible for the development of systems and processes to better manage relationships with policyholders with premiums over $50,000. Jared also oversaw the Medicare Set-Aside program and implemented the non-submit program. In this position, they provided training to staff and counsel partners to ensure successful claims resolution while complying with CMS regulations.
Jared Payton, SCLA, CPCU, WCP, CMSP obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Jewish Studies from Bowdoin College, where they attended from 1989 to 1993. In addition to their academic background, they have also received a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification from the Boston Yoga School in May 2016. These educational achievements demonstrate Jared Payton's commitment to learning and expanding their knowledge in multiple fields.
