Amy Porter

Amy Porter has a diverse work experience spanning different industries.

Amy is currently employed as a Business Development Manager at The Metro Group Inc., starting in September 2022.

Prior to their current role, they worked at the University of Notre Dame in various positions. As the YoungND Board Chair, they served as the Northeast Regional Director since July 2020. Amy also held a board member position on the Notre Dame Alumni Association Board of Directors, appointed to the NDAA Board of Directors Executive Committee for the 2022-2023 board year. Additionally, they served as the President of the Notre Dame Club of Rochester, NY since December 2015, where they successfully revitalized the organization and received several awards for excellence.

Amy's earlier work experience includes roles at Xerox, where they held positions such as Operations & Quality Manager from March 2021 to September 2022, Quality Manager from October 2020 to September 2022, and Chemical & Materials Engineer from July 2014 to September 2020. Amy collaborated with senior chemists and engineers to develop new materials and technologies and supported new product introductions and scale-up. Amy also volunteered as a Science Consultant at local schools to make science more engaging for students.
