Lawrence Choi

Lawrence Choi is a seasoned finance professional with a diverse range of experience in investment management and trading. Currently serving as Senior Investment Officer at The Metropolitan Museum of Art since July 2022, Choi specializes in public equity, private real assets, hedge funds, and asset allocation. Previously, Choi held various roles at New York University, including Director of Investments, focusing on global public equities and quantitative analysis. Choi's experience also includes a position as Senior Investment Analyst at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where management of over $9 billion in assets was key. Earlier in the career at Barclays, Choi contributed to foreign exchange and rates trading as Assistant Vice President and had a foundational role in institutional FX sales. Choi holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business (2020-2023) and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Management & Organizational Behavior (2006-2009) from the same institution.
