Shelley Thornton, P.E. is a seasoned professional in engineering and environmental management with over two decades of experience. Currently serving as Senior Manager for Mine Permitting at The Mosaic Company since April 2011, Shelley oversees land use permitting across multiple counties and manages both internal teams and external vendors for various permit applications. Previous roles include Lead Engineer and Senior Permitting Engineer at Mosaic, as well as Professional Engineer at the Southwest Florida Water Management District, where project management focused on water quality initiatives. Shelley also contributed as Project Manager at Hills & Associates and King Engineering Associates, focusing on residential and commercial development projects. Academically, Shelley holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering & Sciences, along with a Bachelor's Degree in International/Global Studies.
