Jim Purcell is a highly experienced professional in the fields of civil engineering and education, currently serving as Assistant Municipal Engineer and Land Use Engineer for The Municipality of Princeton since July 2020. With a robust academic role, Jim has been an Adjunct Professor at The College of New Jersey since January 2012, specializing in Construction Management, Engineering Economics Analysis, and Fundamentals of Engineering Design. Additionally, Jim has held the position of Past President of NCEES and has played a key role in promoting licensure for engineers and surveyors. With previous experience as Technical Director for the New Jersey Asphalt Pavement Association and business development roles in various firms, Jim’s expertise encompasses project management and engineering design. Jim holds a BS in Civil Engineering - Transportation from the University of Connecticut and has contributed significantly to workforce development as a member of the Mercer County Workforce Development Board.
