Heidi Schlumpf

National Correspondent at National Catholic Reporter

Heidi Schlumpf is an experienced journalist and educator with a strong background in Catholic media and communication. Since 2008, Schlumpf has served as a National Correspondent for the National Catholic Reporter, while also working as a freelance writer for InTrust Magazine and Publishers Weekly since 2005 and 2003, respectively. Prior to this, Schlumpf held various editorial roles at U.S. Catholic magazine and The Catholic New World. Schlumpf's academic career includes a position as Associate Professor of Communication at Aurora University from 2008 to August 2017. Schlumpf holds a Master's in Theological Studies with a focus on feminist theology from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
