Jennifer Fenwick

Jennifer Fenwick has a diverse work experience in the environmental and outdoor education field. Jennifer is currently working as a Central Colorado Project Senior Associate and Chaffee County All Lands Camping Coordinator at the National Forest Foundation. Prior to this, they worked as a Recreation Technician at the U.S. Forest Service and as a Resource Assistant & Project Manager for Designating Camping in Crested Butte, CO at the same organization. Jennifer also has experience as a Research Fellow for Digital Junior Ranger, National Historic Trails at the National Park Service, a Youth Programs Instructor at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory, and an Interpretation & Education Specialist at NC State Parks. Jennifer started their career as an Excursions Counselor at Eagle Lake Camps of The Navigators in 2011.

Jennifer Fenwick pursued their education with a focus on environmental management and biology. Jennifer obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Pre-vet from Colorado State University from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed coursework in biology at Samford University from 2007 to 2009.

Jennifer further expanded their knowledge by acquiring a Master's degree in Environmental Management, specializing in Integrative & Public Land Management, from Western Colorado University from 2018 to 2020.

Additionally, Jennifer obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and expertise. These certifications include Hazard Tree Management and Forest Protection Officer from the U.S. Forest Service in 2021, Leave No Trace Trainer Course from Leave No Trace in 2021, S-212 Wildland Fire Chainsaws from the U.S. Forest Service in 2021, AIARE 1 (American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education) in 2021, Basic Interpretative Training from NC State Parks in 2016, Certified Environmental Educator from the State of North Carolina in 2017, Adult CPR/AED from the American College of Emergency Physicians in 2019, and Wilderness First Aid from NOLS Wilderness Medicine in 2011.
