Amanda Wrona Meadows, Ph.D., M.S. has a diverse range of work experience in the field of marine science and conservation. Amanda has held various roles at different organizations, starting with their position as a Marine Scientist at the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources in 1996. Amanda then worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Student at the University of Georgia, where they developed curricula and supervised staff. Amanda later served as a Marine Scientist Fellow at the Sapelo Island National Estuary Research Reserve, where they conducted research and secured funding for projects. Amanda also worked as an Instructor at Savannah State University, teaching marine science courses. Their experience at the Nature Conservancy included roles such as Savannah River Program Director, Marine Scientist/Restoration Program Integrator, and Knowledge & Learning Network Lead/Marine Scientist for Global Oceans. In these positions, they managed diverse teams, led large-scale restoration projects, developed internal communications plans, and advanced global ocean conservation strategies. Amanda's most recent position at the Nature Conservancy was Human Resources Manager CPO, in which they oversaw talent acquisition, learning and development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Throughout their career, Amanda has demonstrated strong leadership, project management, and scientific expertise within the marine science and conservation field.

Amanda Wrona Meadows, Ph.D., M.S. has a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Psychology from Adrian College. Amanda obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Marine Sciences from the University of Georgia. Additionally, they hold a Master's degree in Ecology from the University of Georgia.
