Kayleigh Hamernik

Kayleigh H. is an experienced professional in environmental policy and public administration, currently serving as the Mariculture Policy Project Lead and Public Policy Fellow at The Nature Conservancy and Alaska Fellows Program, respectively. Previous roles include Program Manager and Global Sustainability Solutions and Policy Analyst at the U.S. Green Chamber of Commerce and Case Interviewer for the New York State Department of Health, where Kayleigh contributed to COVID-19 contact tracing efforts. Earlier experience includes an internship as an Environmental Scientist Intern with the New York State Attorney General's Office, where Kayleigh researched microplastics legislation, and co-founding UBReUSE at the University at Buffalo. Kayleigh holds a dual master's degree in Public Administration and International Relations from Syracuse University, along with certifications in South Asian studies and advanced studies in the same field. Additional language proficiency was developed through intensive Hindi language programs in the U.S. and India.
