Mitchell Lench possesses extensive experience in leadership and investment management. As a Member of the Board of Trustees at The Nature Conservancy since January 2017, Lench contributes to one of the world's largest environmental organizations. In July 2016, Lench co-founded and became CEO of Ocean's Balance, a Maine-based company focused on innovative edible seaweed products. Lench previously served as CEO of Treetops Capital LP, an investment management firm dedicated to addressing social and environmental challenges, from July 2008 to December 2018. Prior to this, Lench held senior roles at Credit Suisse First Boston and Banc of America Securities as Managing Director, and led Emerging Markets Structured Finance for Fitch Ratings from 1996 to 2002. Early career experience includes a financial analyst position at the Federal Reserve Bank from 1994 to 1996. Lench holds a Master's of International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor's Degree from Binghamton University.
