Afni Capt. Toma Mikeladze

Capt. Toma Mikeladze, AFNI, is an accomplished maritime professional with extensive experience in various roles within the industry. Currently serving as a representative for The Nautical Institute since December 2021 and as the Founder of Meridian Maritime Training Centre LLC since June 2021, Toma has established a significant presence in maritime education and training. As a Deep Sea Captain and Master Mariner at Oceangold Tankers Inc. since January 2014, Toma has honed expertise in navigation and vessel management. Toma also served as an IMO ambassador in Georgia from June 2018 to June 2020, contributing to international maritime policy advocacy. Earlier experience includes a role as Marine Superintendent at LMS in early 2013. Toma holds a Bachelor's degree from Batumi State Maritime Academy, completed between 2003 and 2007.
