Cok Vrooman is a seasoned academic and researcher currently serving as a Strategic Advisor and Researcher on the Management Board of the Netherlands Institute for Social Research (SCP) since April 2021. Vrooman holds the endowed chair in Social Security and Participation at Utrecht University, a position established by Instituut Gak to enhance research in social security and the labor market. Vrooman has extensive experience with SCP, previously acting as Chief Scientific Strategist and Head of Research in various sectors related to labor and public services. Additionally, Vrooman is a member of the Advertising Code Committee, contributing to the self-regulating system of advertising in the Netherlands. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Sociology from Tilburg University and a Master's degree in Sociology from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
