Franziska de Koning

Franziska de Koning currently works as a Wetenschappelijk medewerker at Sociaal en Cultureel Planbureau since December 2021. Previously, Franziska was an Onderzoeker at Citisens, focusing on projects related to democracy, participation, and innovation for various government entities. An academic background includes a role as a Promovendus in democratische innovaties at the University of Twente, where research culminated in a PhD dissertation titled ‘Let the people speak. Deliberatieve mini-publics: A pathway towards a participatory society?’. Prior to this, Franziska held positions as a Junior-onderzoeker and Onderzoeksassistent at the University of Twente and completed a Research Internship at ERAC. Teaching experience includes serving as a German tutor and Masterclass developer for secondary school programs. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Twente and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration, among others.
