Aasif Shafi

Aasif Shafi is a seasoned photographer and photojournalist based in Kashmir, with a diverse portfolio and extensive experience across multiple organizations. Currently, Aasif contributes as a freelance writer for The Quint and The New Arab since 2018, while also serving as a contributing photographer for Getty Images and iStock. Furthermore, Aasif has held positions with Pacific Press Agency, News Despatch, and Noble Image, showcasing a commitment to photojournalism in the region. Aasif is also the CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Kashmir Photography Production, aiming to uphold photojournalistic standards in Kashmir, and serves as Vice President and Financial Head at Global Association for Peace. Aasif's educational background includes diplomas in photojournalism from Delhi College of Photography and the New York Film Academy, complemented by degrees in media studies and arts management.
