Gabrielle Wyrick has extensive work experience in the field of museum education and engagement. Gabrielle is currently the Chief Curator & Director of Audience Engagement at The New Children's Museum, where they oversee all exhibitions, curatorial, education, programmatic, and community engagement initiatives. Prior to this, they served as the Deputy Director of Learning and Engagement at the New Orleans Museum of Art, where they implemented educational and programmatic initiatives and developed partnerships with various organizations. Gabrielle also worked as the Associate Director of Education at the Institute of Contemporary Art Boston, where they managed educational programs for youth, including a nationally recognized teen program. Additionally, Gabrielle has served as the Curator of Education at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and as an Education Coordinator at The Blanton Museum of Art. Gabrielle began their career as a Graduate Intern in Education and Interpretation at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and as a Head Graduate Teaching Fellow in the Art History Department at Tufts University.
Gabrielle Wyrick earned a Bachelor's degree in Art History from UC San Diego. Gabrielle later completed a Master's degree in Art History at Tufts University from 2001 to 2003.
