Dolores Hooper is a seasoned project archivist with extensive experience in archival processing and management. Since September 2011, Dolores has operated as a self-employed project archivist, developing processing plans and managing various collections, including art, photographs, and audio-visual materials. Notably, Dolores served as a curatorial assistant at the National World War II Museum from February 2021 to June 2024, contributing to museum projects and collection management. Previous roles include dramaturg at Southern Rep and contract archivist for the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Archive, where Dolores undertook significant overhauls of archival collections. Dolores holds a Master’s degree in Library Science from Drexel University and a Bachelor’s degree in Writing from Penn State University.
