Ted Newman

Ted Newman is an experienced planning editor with a strong background in both print and online journalism. Since November 2013, Ted has been managing thenewstribune.com and the Olympian at The News Tribune. Prior experience includes roles as a copy and online editor at Wilmington (NC) Star-News, where responsibilities encompassed designing the front page and executing special projects. Previous positions also include sports designer at Macon (Ga.) Telegraph and sports editor at Rocky Mount (NC) Telegram, where Ted covered high school athletics and led a team of writers. Ted began a career in media as managing editor at Roanoke Rapids Daily Herald and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from North Carolina State University.
