Lisa Bear, SPHR-SCP

Lisa Bear, SPHR-SCP has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources. Lisa began their career in 1991 as the Director of Human Resources for Fresh Choice, Inc., a restaurant chain which grew from 300 employees and 13 locations to over 2000 employees in 45 locations. In 1994, they started their own consulting company, Hagemann Consulting, where they consulted with clients regarding employee relations issues and reviewed employee practices and policies. In 1995, they became the Human Resources Manager for MicroUnity Systems Engineering, Inc., a software development and chip fabrication start-up, where they managed the recruiting function and hired 100 engineers and support staff in a six month period. From 2002 to 2010, they were the Director of Human Resources for Archco, a Staffing and Professional Employer Organization (PEO), where they consulted in all aspects of human resources. From 2010 to 2013, they were the VP Human Resources for Primeritus Financial Services, Inc., a national forwarding company which traces and coordinates vehicle repossession, transport and remarketing. In 2013, they became the Chief Human Resources Officer and Director of Human Resources for Nor-Cal Controls ES, Inc., an engineering company that provides controls and automation services for utility-scale solar PV and other renewable energy clients. In this role, they have been responsible for identifying, implementing, and managing HR initiatives in core areas including talent acquisition, benefits and wellness programs, compensation, risk management, employment law compliance, employee performance, development and training, organizational and leadership development, strategic planning, policy development, and the human resources management system.

Lisa Bear, SPHR-SCP holds a Master's degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sociology from Utah State University. Additionally, they obtained their Senior Certified Professional (SCM) certification from SHRM in July 2015 and their Sr. Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in January 2010.
