Hirotaka Hideshima serves as a taskforce member for the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) since November 2022 and as a counsellor on global strategy to the president and board of directors at Norinchukin Bank since April 2021. Extensive experience at the Bank of Japan from 1989 to 2021 includes roles such as Senior Research Fellow, Director-General of the Internal Auditors' Office, and Deputy Director-General across various departments. Hideshima has been actively involved with international financial organizations, serving as a member of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) and the Financial Stability Board (FSB). Education credentials include a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Essex and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hitotsubashi University.
