Laura Abramovsky

Laura Abramovsky is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in fiscal policy design and implementation, particularly focusing on efficiency and equality in lower and middle-income countries. Currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) since March 2022, Laura collaborates closely with the Department for Public Finance and the TAXDEV team. Additionally, Laura has held various roles at the Institute for Fiscal Studies since September 2003, including Senior Research Economist and Research Fellow. Prior experience encompasses a position as an Associate Consultant at MacroConsulting S.A. from 2018 to 2021 and as an Economist at CEDEM from 2000 to 2002. Laura holds a PhD in Economics from University College London, alongside a Master's degree from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Buenos Aires.
