Neela Rathinasamy

Neela Rathinasamy has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Neela currently serves as the Director of Data and Systems at Pahara Institute. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal at Sixth Woman Consulting, where they played a versatile role similar to that of a utility player in basketball. Neela also served as a Board Member at Monument Academy Public Charter School.

In the education sector, they held the position of Assistant Superintendent of Operations at the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) and Chief of Staff, Office of General Counsel at District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS). Neela also served as Deputy Chief in different capacities at District of Columbia Public Schools, including Deputy Chief of Compliance, Office of Special Education, and Deputy Chief, Central Office Effectiveness, Office of Human Capital. At EnvisionEMI, Neela worked as an Associate Director of Programs, where they were responsible for managing experiential learning programs for high school students.

Additionally, Neela has experience as a Team Leader and Corps Member at AmeriCorps*NCCC.

Neela Rathinasamy earned a B.A. degree in Government from William & Mary in the years 1996 to 2000. Later, they attended the University of Virginia School of Law from 2002 to 2005 and obtained their J.D. degree. In addition to their formal education, Neela also obtained a SQL Crash Course certification from CoRise in November 2022.
