John Studzinski

John Studzinski has a diverse and extensive work experience. John is currently serving as the Managing Director and Vice Chairman of PIMCO, a global investment management firm. In 2015, they founded Arise, an anti-slavery NGO, and currently serves as its Founding President and head of the Global Advisory Board. Since 2001, they have been the Founder and Chairman of the Genesis Foundation, which focuses on donations to the arts and training programs for emerging artists. John co-founded The Passage in 1980, which has now become the largest center for homeless people in the UK. Additionally, they serve as a Trustee for the J. Paul Getty Trust and as a Council Member for the Royal College of Art. John has held various trustee roles, including for the American Associates of the Saint Catherine Foundation and the Benjamin Franklin Museum. John also served as the Vice Chair Emeritus for Human Rights Watch. Finally, they held senior positions at Blackstone, including Vice Chairman, Investor Relations and Business Development and Senior Managing Director, before leaving in 2018.

John Studzinski has a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree in Biology and sociology from Bowdoin College, which they earned between 1974 and 1978. John later obtained a Master of Business Administration - MBA degree in Finance & Marketing from the University of Chicago between 1979 and 1980.
