Almila Kakinc

Almila Kakinc, MSN RN, currently serves as an RN Practice Manager at Optum and as a Triage Nurse & RN Lead at The Polyclinic, where responsibilities include triaging phone calls, patient assessment, and supporting clinical activities. Almila is also the Editor In Chief of The Thirlby, a media platform focused on wellness, where involvement includes writing, editing, and managing a team of contributors. Almila's diverse experience spans roles in labor and delivery nursing, marketing, public relations, and digital storytelling, with contributions to notable organizations such as Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and Environmental Working Group. Almila holds a Master's degree from Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, an ongoing degree in Integrative Medicine from Duke University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College in Anthropology and English Literature.
