Bryan Hall, MPE, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Bryan began their career in 1998 as a Dispatcher at W. O. Grubb Crane Rental, where they fielded orders, negotiated rental agreements, and managed equipment and personnel. From 1999 to 2006, Bryan served in the United States Marine Corps, holding positions such as Expeditionary Fire Support Officer and Information Operations Watch Officer. In these roles, they provided guidance on fire support and supported the Commanding General in electronic warfare and intelligence dissemination. Following their military service, Bryan worked as a Battery Commander and Staff Officer, Assistant Operations Manager, Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) Project Officer, and Coordinator of the Joint Effects Requirements Management Team at Pangaea. In these positions, they managed operations, coordinated teams, and oversaw the integration of digital fire systems. Bryan also gained experience as a Project Manager at Barnhart Crane & Rigging, where they worked with heavy lift and transport operations. Prior to their current role, Bryan served as a Boarding Agent at Capes Shipping Agencies, where they liaised with various stakeholders to ensure efficient vessel operations. Currently, Bryan is the Assistant Operations Manager at The Port of Virginia, where they oversee terminal operations, promotes safety awareness, manages a labor force, and coordinates efforts between different departments. Overall, Bryan Hall has a strong background in operations management, coordination, and leadership.
Bryan Hall holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from The Citadel. Bryan also has a Master of Arts degree in Diplomacy from Norwich University. In 2023, Bryan Hall is expected to complete their Master of Science degree in Maritime Trade and Supply Chain Management from Old Dominion University.
Additionally, Bryan Hall has completed Level 3 Project Management courses from Defense Acquisition University in 2013. Bryan has also completed the NATO Staff Officer Course M5-32 from NATO SCHOOL OBERAMMERGAU, the Command and Staff Nonresident Course from Marine Corps University in 2010, the U.S. Army Advanced Artillery School Resident Course in 2006, the U.S. Marine Corps School of Amphibious Warfare Non-Resident Courses in 2004, and the U.S. Army Basic Artillery Officer School Resident Course in 2000.
Bryan Hall has obtained several certifications, including Maritime Port Executive from the International Association of Maritime and Port Executives in May 2023, Admiralty Law from the Association of Ship Brokers and Agents in January 2023, and Basic Principles of Chartering from the Association of Ship Brokers and Agents in August 2021. Bryan also has certifications in IMSBC CODE from the National Cargo Bureau in July 2021, OSHA 30 Card from ClickSafety in January 2020, and M5-32 NATO Staff Officer Orientation Course from NATO SCHOOL OBERAMMERGAU in November 2019, among others. Bryan Hall is a former member of the Defense Acquisition Corps and holds Career Field Certification in Program Management Levels 1-3 from the US Navy. Bryan also had a former NATO Top Secret Security Clearance.
