Tyler Blevins has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Tyler started their career at Chesapeake Bay Importing, where they worked as a Warehouse Manager from January 2005 to April 2007, followed by the role of Area Sales Manager for Hardwood Surfaces from May 2007 to August 2010.
In 2010, Blevins joined Target as an Executive Team Lead, and later became an Executive Team Leader- Human Resources from July 2014 to May 2015. During their time at Target, they managed a team of 150+ employees, tailored schedules, interviewed and hired talent, and served as a district leader. Tyler also played a role in the development and teaching of a district intern.
More recently, Blevins joined The Port of Virginia in May 2015 as an Assistant Operations Manager, and progressed to become the Rail Operations Manager from November 2018 to July 2021. In this role, they managed a team of Port of Virginia employees and ILA members. Tyler then transitioned to the role of Manager, Operations Control Center from July 2021 to May 2023, where they leveraged Navis tools and settings to drive process improvements and led a team to ensure efficient container movement and stacking behavior. Currently, Blevins holds the position of Manager, Operational Projects at The Port of Virginia.
Tyler Blevins attended Old Dominion University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Tyler completed their studies at the university in 2009.
