Maria Tocco

Maria Tocco is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in community engagement, communications, and market management. As the Founder and Market Manager of The Providence Flea LLC since 2013, Maria has led an award-winning urban market that supports local businesses and community initiatives. Previous roles include Deputy Director of Communications, Advertising, and Outreach at HealthSource RI, where strategic planning for state health insurance communications was developed; Director of Public & Community Relations for the Office of Lt. Governor Elizabeth Roberts; and various leadership positions in educational institutions. Maria's background also includes operations and design oversight in web development at Greenwich Bay Webworks Inc. and fiscal management of Cultural Survival, an indigenous rights organization. Educational credentials include a B.S. in Business Administration from Boston College and participation in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program. Maria is also a certified Master Gardener and a graduate of several leadership and language immersion programs.
