Denise Bates

Denise Bates has extensive experience in the publishing industry. Denise began their career at Ebury Press, Random House Publishing in 1992 as a Publishing Director and remained in that role until 2002. Denise then joined HarperCollins Publishers as the Publishing Director for Collins, where they stayed until 2009. In 2009, Denise became the Group Publishing Director at Octopus Publishing Group and held that position until 2022. Currently, they are the Group Publishing Director at The Quarto Group.

From 1981 to 1985, Denise Bates attended The University of Edinburgh and studied German and French.
