Edith Noriega

Edith Noriega is a skilled sports reporter with extensive experience covering high school and collegiate athletics. Current role includes covering high school sports and the Oregon Ducks at The Register-Guard in Eugene since April 2023, following a period at Salem Statesman Journal where coverage focused on high school, small colleges, and education. Previous roles include serving as a high school sports reporter for The Press-Enterprise, an Olympic researcher for NBC Sports Group, an internship at USA TODAY Sports Media Group focusing on Olympic and trending news, and various reporting positions at Cronkite News Phoenix Sports Bureau, The Arizona Republic, and as an editor at Riverside City College's Viewpoints. Edith holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and has been active in initiatives to increase diversity in newsrooms.
