Lance Reich is a seasoned patent attorney with extensive experience in intellectual property law, particularly in the engineering and physical sciences sectors. Currently serving as a Patent Attorney at The Research Foundation for SUNY since March 2022, Lance focuses on the protection and commercialization of inventions emerging from SUNY campuses. Previously, Lance was Patent Counsel at Resurgent Technologies LLC, managing patent and trademark portfolios and evaluating invention disclosures. Earlier roles included Of Counsel at Helsell Fetterman LLP, where Lance engaged in patent prosecution and litigation, and Partner at both Lee & Hayes, PLLC and Woodcock Washburn, with a foundational expertise in electrical and computer technologies. Lance holds a JD from the University of Florida's Levin College of Law, an MS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University, and a BA in Mathematical Programming from the University of Tampa.
