Vashin Gautham

Vashin Gautham currently serves as a Research Assistant at The Research Foundation for SUNY, beginning in January 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University at Buffalo School of Engineering and Applied Sciences from August 2021 to August 2023, working in the Advanced Energy Materials and Nanomechanics Lab under Dr. Jun Liu, as well as serving as a Graduate Student Assistant grading undergraduate thermodynamics. Vashin also held the position of Associate Lead in Process Excellence at Shadowfax from October 2020 to June 2021, and completed an internship at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited focusing on dynamic analysis of helicopter rotor blades in early 2020. Furthermore, Vashin co-headed the braking department for dritan racers from February 2017 to February 2020 and interned at Bosch Rexroth in mid-2019. Vashin's academic qualifications include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, currently pursued at the University at Buffalo, and a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, completed at the same institution and Visvesvaraya Technological University, respectively.
