Eileen O'Connor is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in communications, policy, and advocacy. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at The Rockefeller Foundation since November 2019, Eileen has held key positions including Senior Vice President of Communications, Policy, & Advocacy. Eileen's background includes roles at AdvisoryCloud as an Adviser and as Principal at The Garnet Group, LLC. Prior to these positions, Eileen was Vice President for Communications at Yale University and held multiple senior roles at the U.S. Department of State, focusing on communications and public diplomacy in South and Central Asia. Eileen’s legal expertise includes serving as Counsel at McDermott Will and Emery and Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe, LLP, where litigation and strategic communications were central to the work. Eileen also led the International Center for Journalists as President, emphasizing media training in emerging democracies. Eileen holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and multiple postgraduate degrees in World Politics from The London School of Economics and Political Science, along with a BSBA from Georgetown University.
