Susannah Nichols

Director of the Middle & Upper Schools at The Roeper School

Susannah Nichols has extensive experience in education and writing, currently serving as the Middle & Upper School Campus Director and teacher at The Roeper School since September 2005. Teaching assignments include Western Literature, Expository Writing, Early and Modern Poetry, and Russian Novelists. Prior to this role, Susannah worked as a freelance sportswriter covering hockey and lacrosse in the metro Detroit area since September 2000. Additional experience includes serving as an instructor at Kaplan, where classes were taught to help high school students achieve higher ACT and SAT scores. Susannah also held the position of Program Coordinator at Building with Books and taught as a corps member with Teach for America at Detroit Public Schools, focusing on fourth-grade and middle school social studies. Susannah holds a degree from the University of Michigan, completed in 2002.
