Brian Rust

Brian Rust is an Investment Manager and a member of the Forestry & Agriculture team. He is based in Rotorua, New Zealand.

Mr. Rust has over 34 years of experience in the forest industry in New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, and North and South America. Mr. Rust has spent 20 years in the forest valuation/investment sector, 10 years with GMO Renewable Resources, which TRG acquired, and 14 years in forest management. Prior to joining TRG in July 2022, he managed an office of 10 staff responsible for a 25,000ha estate harvesting 375,000 tons per annum in Tasmania, Australia. Mr. Rust holds a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry Science from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand.
