Chris Routledge

Chris Routledge is an experienced publishing professional currently serving as the Digital Publishing Manager at The Royal Society since October 2022. Previously, Chris held the role of Publishing Operations Manager at the Microbiology Society from June 2019 to October 2022, where management and training of Publishing Operations Editors were key responsibilities, alongside optimizing peer review and production workflows. Prior experience includes a position as a Scientific Proofreader at Springer Nature, demonstrating attention to detail and a scientific background, as well as roles that enhanced administrative and customer service skills at Card Factory, Machine Mart, and Robert Dyas. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology with Oceanography from the University of Southampton, further supporting a strong foundation for a career in scientific publishing.
