Jack Rhodes is a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Sainsbury Laboratory since June 2015, previously serving as a PhD student in the Zipfel group, focusing on cell surface immune signaling through receptor kinases. Rhodes has diverse experience in research and diagnostics, including a full-time secondment in Virology for PCR-based SARS-CoV-2 diagnostics at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Additional roles include visiting researcher at PlantResponse Biotech, fieldwork assistant at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, and various internships and part-time roles at institutions such as the University of Sheffield and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Rhodes holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Bath, where academic pursuits were complemented by work in agricultural settings and fundraising.
