Liliana Cano is a postdoctoral researcher at The Sainsbury Laboratory, a position held since 2007, and completed a PhD in Plant-Microbe Interactions at the University of East Anglia from 2007 to 2011, focusing on genome analyses of filamentous pathogen-plant interactions. Prior experience includes serving as a visiting scholar at The Ohio State University’s Ohio Agricultural Research Development Center from April 2006 to August 2007, a research assistant at the National Coffee Research Center CENICAFE from May 2004 to March 2006, and an undergraduate intern at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture CIAT and Life Systems Technology in 2003 and 2002, respectively. Academic qualifications are complemented by a BSc in Biotechnological Engineering from Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander, obtained in 2004, and a diploma in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Pamplona in 2002.
