Erica Ahmed, MA, MS, CHES has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of public health communications. Erica has held various positions in different organizations, demonstrating their expertise and versatility in the field.
Their most recent role was as the Director of Public Health Communications at The Scientific Consulting Group, Inc. Here, they served as the Project Manager for the Office of AIDS (OAR) Exhibit Program and the Project Director for the Creating an Integrated Marketing and Information Dissemination Campaign for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program contract. Erica provided oversight and creative direction for various initiatives and activities such as the Living History Website and the National Information Dissemination Campaign. Erica also has experience as an HIV Counseling and Testing Program Manager at Whitman-Walker Clinic and as a Public Health Analyst at the DC Department of Health (HIV/AIDS Administration). Erica then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from the same university, completing their studies in 1997. Erica furthered their education at Columbia University, where they attained a Master of Science degree in Health Education in 1999.
