Layla Sargent has worked in a variety of roles since 2005. Layla began their career as a travel journalist and luxury hotel reviewer for various online and offline publications. In 2007, they joined Millennium & Copthorne Hotels as a Sales & Marketing Executive, where they were promoted three times. In 2010, they took on the role of Senior Business Development Manager at Chelsea Football Club, where they exceeded annual targeted 15% account growth for all Top 20 Accounts. In 2015, Layla became the Head of Sales at Brandnew IO, where they were responsible for growing out the entire sales function, launching new offices in US and UK and leading a successful sales team across three regions. In 2016, they co-founded Congress London, a career development and mentoring network for women in London. In 2017, Layla founded SUPA, the UK's largest collective of mental health specialists. Finally, in 2019, Layla became the Founder & CEO of The Seam, which offers specialist care & repair services for people and brands.
Layla Sargent attended the University of Worcester and obtained a degree in Journalism and Media/Cultural Studies, with a focus on Journalism, Media Studies, and Advertising. Layla also completed a TEFL 140 hour Premier Course in 2007.
